Bharti Airtel Q3 net profit seen down at Rs 1571 cr

India’s lagest telecom operator Bharti Airtel is expected to report net profit of Rs 1,570.57 crore for the quarter ended December 2010, a fall of 5.44% as compared to Rs 1,661 crore in previous quarter.
Revenues are seen going up to Rs 15,826.88 crore from Rs 15,215 crore during same period. Earning before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation (EBIDTA) is seen flat at 33.6% versus 33.7% (QoQ) Company’s Africa operations’ loss is likely to be at Rs 410 crore as against Rs 106.3 crore in previous quarter.
Expectations
* Expect subscriber base increase by 5.7% QoQ while traffic expected to increase by 6% QoQ
* India & South Asia revenues expected at Rs 11707 crore; while Africa revenues likely at Rs 4120 crore
* Overall EBITDA margin likely to decline 10bps QoQ to 33.6% due to one time rebranding costs
* Africa margins should remain steady at 23%
* India and South Asia mobile revenue is likely to grow 4.1% QoQ
* ARPU’s in India expected at Rs 200 versus Rs 202
* MoU in India expected at 458 minutes versus 454 minutes
* Indian RPM expected at 44 p versus 44 p
* For African operations ARPUs expected at USD 7.3 versus USD 7.6
* African subscriber base expected at 44 million versus 40 million.
