Women’s Hoops To Appear On ESPN’s College Hoops

The defending national champion Texas A&M women’s basketball team will be part of ESPN’s fourth annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon on Tuesday, Nov. 15, the television network announced today.
The Aggies’ home contest with 2011 NCAA Sweet 16 team Louisville will tip at 3 p.m. (CT) and is set to be broadcast nationally on ESPNU.

This year’s College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon presented by Disney Parks begins Tuesday, Nov. 15, at midnight ET, and will include 19 live matchups – 17 men’s and two women’s – highlighted by ESPN’s 11 game telecasts and a special one-hour College GameDay Driven by State Farm. will offer two exclusive games as well as a simulcast of every ESPN and ESPN2 telecast.

The Aggies are the only women’s team in the Big 12 Conference represented in the College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. In addition, it is only the second time ESPN has broadcast two women’s games as Miami at Tennessee in the State Farm Women’s Tip-Off Classic will be televised at 5 p.m. (CT) on ESPN2.

Texas A&M returns three starters and 10 letterwinners from its national championship squad that finished with a 33-5 record last season – the best in school history.

The Aggies take to the court for their Maroon and White game on Saturday, Oct. 29 and host an exhibition game on Sunday, Nov. 6.
